not pink, who cares?
Me, I care and I hope as this blogging venture continues, you will too and not just in a, "Aw Anna, this looks good, well done!" kind of way but something you feel like you can be apart of too, something to look forward to as Sunday evening approaches...
Let me set the scene, it's a Sunday night and tomorrow is Monday, duh, the start of a new week, fresh bedding: on, clean pyjamas: worn and face mask: applied and here we all are, reading a notpink blog entry, in the hope that by reading something we'll feel productive and happy come morning. Correct, partially, you are partially correct. It's more than that, well I believe it is anyway.

Why blogging? How does one blog? What is this lol?

Raise your hand if you pondered over question one? .... what about question two? ... and now for question three? ... even though you are reading this on your laptop, phone (I'm actually unsure of what else you can see this on), I'm sure that you've wondered over one, if not all three, of these questions. And rightly so, because me too!. I initially started blogging on a different site, at a very different time in my life as a way of letting out all of my thoughts, feelings and emotions. Maybe some of you reading this will remember the blog I wrote for my mum ... ahh yes you remember, sad, wasn't it? but don't worry this is not that, but I guess I just wanted to share and let you all know that, writing has always been a comforting tool for me, a way of feeling that instant relief, do you know what I mean?

<sidenote> you know when your in a heated argument with your boyfriend, friend, partner etc and the longggg paragraphs come flooding in, yeah those!, that sh*t is my forte, if one person ever did that, it was me, if someone was ever winning, it would always be me. It comes back to that idea of instantly releasing all that pent up emotion, what a feeling, right?. At the receiving end of this chunky paragraph,a short story some would say composed by yours truly, they could never not apologise, beg for forgiveness and notice that I am infact Shakespeare's prodigy child, joking! <end sidenote>

Blog upload one was made purely for my Mum to read when she came out of her induced coma (apologise, there's no light hearted way of writing that, it's a heavy statement, sorry) and the same for number 2,3,4 and 5, and by the final upload, what I had composed, without even realising, was her story to read and review. I always felt bad on her that she was missing out on HER story, and she was so grateful that I had done that for her and as for me, it was the best supportive tool that I could've relied upon, aside from my family lol.
So there, I hope that answers the why element for you...maybe?

Sill attempting to paint this picture for you. Our vision transitions to one of, if not the best film ever made, which goes by the name of The Devil Wears Prada ... if that movie title instantly makes you feel some kind of way, then you and I are officially soulmates because when I watched this movie for the first time, my life changed.. for the better <this girl is so dramatic>, but I really mean it. I imagine all those girls in that movie to read to the coolest blogs ever to gain the best fashion tips and lifestyle insights whilst en route to purchasing their excessively overpriced coffee. This is how I want us to feel, and adapt the lifestyle of.

I guess what I am trying to get at is, blogging is so much more than words on a screen, I guess they are the worded versions of podcasts in my eyes, but there is something more personal about a blog. I used to refer to my Instagram segments as mini textbooks, but I feel I have found a new home for them here on the notpink blog. I haven't yet found a blog which captures the fashion and lifestyle elements which I enjoy relating to, and so, this is how I want us all to enjoy notpink. You can expect consistent Sunday entries from yours truly, covering topics from my personal life, fashion avenues, tips & tricks and more ... I have so many ideas, my brain could burst.
